Wendy is responsible for research strategy implementation and innovative projects. Her primary role is to increase the overall capability of the Lions Eye Institute to undertake research, which includes a focus on people and resourcing that is needed to deliver the research priorities. Wendy is closely involved in securing three new research Chairs attached to The University of Western Australia and Curtin University. She is also responsible for developing and overseeing the implementation of the organisation’s Reconciliation Action Plan.
Wendy comes to the Lions Eye Institute with executive experience leading large teams and service innovation in three government agencies and in working with a range of organisations to improve their management processes and strategic planning. She is a member of the Board of Circle Green Community Legal Centre and Blue Sky, a disability services provider.
