Leeanne (Lee) Thomas was appointed to as Chief Financial Officer for the Lions Eye Institute in May 2021. As a CPA qualified Accountant, Lee has had an extensive and diverse career in both the UK and Australia, managing the financial strategy for organisations in private and not-for profit sectors including Midalia Steel, Anglicare WA Inc, Minderoo Foundation and more recently Derbarl Yerrigan Health Service Aboriginal Corporation. A proven self-starter with a pro-active and can-do attitude, Lee’s collaborative working style has seen her be successful in the leadership and management of a variety of teams in both financial and administrative functions, guiding her teams to deliver successful outcomes.
As Chief Financial Officer with the Lions Eye Institute, Lee is a key member of the executive team and is responsible for the strategic direction, leadership, governance, performance and operational excellence of all financial and commercial activities of the Institute. Lee will provide expert counsel and fiscal and commercial direction to ensure the sustainability and long term best interests of the Lions Eye Institute.
