Glen was appointed as Chief Executive Officer of the Lions Eye Institute in July 2021. He has had an extensive career in policy and operational roles in the health sector, including leadership roles with the WA Government, St John of God hospitals in Western Australia and Victoria, hospitals in Tasmania and New South Wales, Mayne Health and the South West Aboriginal Medical Service. Prior to joining the Lions Eye Institute, Glen was the Chief Executive Officer of Perth Clinic, WA’s largest private psychiatric clinic.
Glen was a Rhodes Scholar in 1992 and completed a doctoral degree at Oxford University. He has a strong history of voluntary services on the boards of a number of medical and educational organisations, and from 2018 served a two-year term as President of the WA branch of the Australian Private Hospitals Association.
